At the end of 2019 we supported the training of a group of 29 Community awareness volunteers from Nanyuki Cancer Support Group. They are now on the front line working hard to care for, protect and improve the lives of their patients during the pandemic. The volunteers have become instrumental in raising awareness of Covid-19 and teaching the importance of frequent handwashing with soap is one of the ways they are helping to protect patients.
They are also working to ensure that patients in need of care do not go without, even when they are unable to visit health facilities.
