As our Every Child Counts project gets underway, our partners in Meru, Siaya and Kajiado West have been reaching out to schools across these counties. We want to create a supportive and inclusive school environment in which children with life-limiting or life-threatening illness can learn and thrive. Teachers and school children are being taught positive messages around children living with life-limiting illness and we are identifying and working together with teacher palliative care ‘champions’ who can provide every-day support for children with palliative care needs and their families.
